Term 3

Week 7 - We have had a very creative last week! We have really enjoyed finishing our Polar Collages and making Windsocks in Science! We have also been counting and writing numbers to 50 in Maths and written fact files about Penguins in English!

Week 6 - It has been another super busy week! We have written some brilliant stories about an Emperor Penguin in English and we really enjoyed learning how to create colourwash pictures at the end of the week.

Week 5 - This week has been busy as it has been assessment week! We have written some super stories in English based around the book we have been reading 'Lost and Found' and learnt about animals that hibernate in Science. We have also really enjoyed playing 'Numbots' on the iPads towards the end of the week!

Week 4 - This week we have been writing Postcards in English linked to the book we have been reading - Lost and Found. We pretended we were the Penguin writing back home to our friends and family about our trip to the UK! We have been continuing to practice different methods for subtraction in Maths and we have also really enjoyed drawing feathers and making igloos out of junk modelling this week!

Week 3 - This week we have been reading 'Lost and Found' in English and have been basing our writing around this. We have also had a poetry workshop this week, where a poet called Matt Brydon came in - which we all really enjoyed. In Maths we have been learning different methods for addition and subtraction and in Science we have been thinking about the 4 seasons and how the weather changes in each season.

Week 2 - This week we have been writing Winter Acrostic Poems in English, practicing addition and subtraction in Maths and learning about Animals that live in the Arctic and Antarctic! It has been super fun!
