PE in Term 3

This term PE will be taught on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our Tuesday lesson is outside games, focussing on fitness and developing a range of skills through circuits. Your child doesn't need any additional clothing or footwear for this lesson, but if it is very cold they can wear a hat and gloves. Our Friday lesson is dance based music and movement, with a focus on photos and selfies. The children will work individually and in groups to create freeze frames and sequences of actions that represent capturing the moment in photos - it promises to be a lot of fun! For this lesson, your child will need their black shorts, please ensure they are named and given to Mrs Knight to keep in school.

Circuits

The Red Kites have loved the combination of fitness and skills we have been learning in our PE lessons. We’ve focused on ‘how we improve’ thinking about the impact of each activity on our hearts, muscles and brain!

Sensational Science!

We have had a great term of science, exploring materials. We have carried out experiments to identify electrical conductors and insulators, find out whether materials are soluable or insoluable and test whether changes are resersible or irreversible. We planned an investigation to find out which material is the most effective heat insulator to make a coaster to protect a table from heat damamge. A really hands on unit with lots of learning and lots of fun!
