The School Day

School opening times

School starts at 8.40 am

Lunch time 12.00 - 1.00 pm

School finishes at : 3:10pm

This amounts to a total of 32.5 hours per week.

It is extremely important that your child is here on time.  Pupils should make their way directly to their classroom on arrival.  Please make sure that you are here on time to pick your child up.  If you know that you are going to be late or there is any change in the person collection your child please contact the school office (01235 848333)

Lunches

We strongly encourage children to try the school dinners, as these are carefully nutritionally balanced.

Follow this link to our School Meals page to find out more:

https://www.suttoncourtenayprimary.co.uk/school-meals/

If your child brings a packed lunch, please make sure that this does not contain any chocolates or sweets.  As a guide, choose yogurt, fruit or a biscuit from the sweet biscuits aisle rather than the confectionary section in the supermarket.

So that we apply this policy fairly and consistently, if staff notice sweets or chocolate in lunch boxes they will take these away and return them to you at the end of the school day.

Uniform

We are very proud of the smart school uniform that we have at Sutton Courtenay and thank you for your support in keeping up the high standards that we expect.

Travelling to and from school

We are very pleased that the majority of those children who live a short distance from the school do walk, scoot or cycle to school.  There are storage facilities for these modes of transport.  It is essential that all children who cycle to school MUST wear a properly fitting cycle helmet.
