Term 5

Welcome to Term 5! Our topic this term is 'Towers, Turrets and Tunnels'. We will be learning about the key features of castles and how they have changed over time, towers around the world, tunnels and we will also learn about Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
In English we are going to start the term reading 'The Journey Home'. We will think about the journey the animals made and then write about a journey we have been on. We will also be designing our own island and then writing descriptive sentences about it. Then, we will do a piece of non-fiction writing about the animals in the story, before moving on to our second book for the term 'The Way Home for Wolf'.
In Maths we will be finishing our unit on Mass, Capacity and Temperature before moving on to look at Fractions. We will also be doing addition and subtraction revision.
In Science we will be learning about World Habitats.
