Free School Meals

Support for Free School Meal (FSM)  pupils during school shutdown due of Covid 19

 

The school is to continue to provide support to those pupils who are eligible for FSM, during the period where we are shut due to the Covid 19 outbreak.

 

We have organised with Tesco a system where we can send out shopping vouchers to you, if your child is eligible for FSM and you require them.  This will be via email.  Please can you complete the below form to let us know if you need these vouchers.

Please complete the form above by Friday 10th April 2020.

 

If you cannot use Tesco vouchers, still complete the above form, but also email fsm@ridgewayeducation.com and we will arrange an alternative.

 

We aim to issue vouchers on a 2 weekly basis.  The first vouchers will cover the period of 23rd March 2020 to 3rd April 2020.  Please note no vouchers will be issued for the period covering the Easter Holidays (6th April 2020 - 17th April 2020).  The next set of vouchers will be issued by Wednesday 22nd April for the period 20th April 2020 to the 1st May 2020.  We will continue to update this page on the website with timelines past this point.

 

Please note that we are still waiting for guidance from Government as to the value of these vouchers, but until this is received, we will be issuing the equivalent shopping vouchers of £3 a day for Secondary School pupils and £2.30 per day for Primary School pupils.  Once the government announces the national scheme we will adopt this at that time point and going forward.
