Term 3

Term 3 Learning

Wow, what another busy term of learning we have had! In English we have been sentence stacking 'One Snowy Night' by Nick Butterworth which we have all really enjoyed. We have also been sharing other Percy the Park Keeper stories in our story times throughout the term. We ended the term by writing seasons fact files using all of our knowledge we have learnt about seasons this term.

In Maths we have really enjoyed learning about money. We have become confident in recognising the different coins and notes and adding them together to find different amounts. We have now just started our unit on multiplication and division.

In Science the children have been learning about the Environment and how we can look after it.

Our Topic this term has been seasons. We've looked carefully at seasonal changes,  including the weather and how this affects us and the activities we can do. We have also looked at hot and cold climates - particularly thinking about what it would be like to live in the Arctic compared to living in Jamaica. We have also been very creative this term and have produced lots of lovely pieces of Art. We studied Andy Goldsworthy and were inspired by him to make art using natural resources. We have also done observational drawings of leaf and made some beautiful wax resist leaves.

Well done Kingfishers for all of your hard work!
