Children are welcomed to take part in doodle maths and times tables at home. This only has to be 10minutes but will allow them to recap previous topics and consolidate current.

Reading:

Reading is a core part of our day to day life at school where we encourage children to discover and explore a range of texts.
Age 7-9 have the biggest impact on a young reader and it is important that reading for pleasure is established during this time period.
Therefore, establishing a reading routine at home where children are reading every night to an adult for 5 minutes is highly encouraged.
Please record your any reading to an adult within their reading dairy. We cannot change books until they have been read twice to an adult. This is due to the impact it has on your child’s fluency and comprehension.
Books will be changed daily.
