Welcome to Red Kites
We are a Year 5 class of curious, enthusiastic learners and our school dog: Cessy.
Our teachers are Ms Parks (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning) and Mrs Knight (Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday).
We are supported in the classroom by Mr Blagrove.
Our window to the world.
Red Kites love to read. As well as a wide range of text types in our reading scheme (that we use for independent reading) we also read together every day.
We are currently reading our second novel of the year, Boy Everywhere by A.M. Dassu.
We have a reading corner in our classroom with extra special books that we can read during independent reading and take home for additional reading. Many of these are linked to our learning but also include those our teachers have fallen in love with.
