Friday 24th November was Takeover Day!  47 children applied to take over an adult role in school.  To do this they had to write a letter of application.  Everyone who wrote a letter had the chance to be someone for a short while.  Five children had the chance to be me, and carried out various tasks such as reporting on lessons, analysing data, and editing the website.  Mrs Appleyard had children taking messages and counting dinner money, and lots of children had responsibility for teaching parts of lessons or groups.  Even Mr. Greenough was taken over! The older children were invited to reflect on what they would do if they were us. The day was very successful and built a real sense of leadership for the children.
