Welcome to all Robins - in our class we have a mixture of year 1 children and reception children.
On busythings I have created a login which has some activities specific for the children and this terms work in school. It should compliment what they are doing in class and will form part of their homework for the half term break coming up. When you log onto Busythings please type in user: robinshome and password: robinshome and go to 'assignments'. It will request your child to enter their name which will then enable me to congratulate those children that complete the homework. It should be fun and would be better done with the support of an adult to get started. If you have any problems please come and speak to me.
Thank you for all the snacks.
Each day we try to go through all the children's book bags: update sound cards, listen to some of the children read and also support children changing books. The reading at home really does support your child with their self confidence and self esteem and is also a lovely opportunity to spend some 1:1 time with them. Reading will have an impact on their whole learning and success through school life as well as supporting them in the outside world.
Easter Holiday homework:
This holiday there will be NO reading books sent home from school. This is because all the teachers are coming in over the holiday and revamping the books and bringing in a new scheme.
- Read/share as many books as you can (you can write their titles on the sheet handed out at the end of term - I have also attched it to this class page at the bottom)
- Visit the library – you could take a photo of you in the library and/or write the best books you found.
February holiday homework:
It would be great if the children could do some investigating into their favourite dinosaur. There will be plenty of opportunity to present their ideas and reasons for their favourite dinosaur in the first week back. If you have any images you want me to show the class/print out then please feel free to email them to the class email address:
email@example.com. Look forward to seeing everyone back very soon.
Christmas holidays homework:
Please read with your children as much as you can over the holidays. If the children want to write thank you cards or a diary entry, any work will be praised the first week back after the holidays. Most of all have a lovely break and if you are celebrating Christmas I hope its magical.
Half Term Homework (October):
All the children have brought home a homework grid. This is for the children to decide if they want to do some homework and for you to encourage if you have time during the break. Some children were not in on the last day of term so I have attached the homework sheet to the bottom of our class page. I hope you all have a lovely break and see you on the Monday 31st 8:40.
