Welcome to Term 6
We can’t believe it is the last term of this school year.
But don’t worry there is still a lot of learning and fun to be had!
Minibeast Madness
We will start Term 6 with our new topic ‘Mini-beast Madness’. This is a predominantly science based topic where the children will investigate the characteristics of different mini-beasts and explore their habitats. They will be using information gathered to create sorting diagrams and keys. We will be visiting SCEEC, where we will focus on mini-beasts and habitats.
Our work in art, music, dance, ICT and DT will also reflect and support the topic of mini-beasts, keep your eyes peeled for some creepy crawlies when you pop in on Friday mornings later in the term!
English will be mostly non-fiction based with the children reading and writing information texts about mini-beasts and explanation texts using lifecycles ,
In Maths we will continue to develop written methods for addition and subtraction, and focusing particularly on applying what we have learned during the whole year to problem solving situations and investigations.
Please see below the Term 6 Curriculum Information document to explain more about this term's schedule as well as the usual information on P.E. and homework.
