What a fantastic first week back at school!  Thank you to everyone - children, parents and staff, who have made my first week so enjoyable.  I have really enjoyed getting to know the children and seeing the wonderful work they are doing in the classrooms.  The teachers have been working incredibly hard to plan some very exciting lessons over the summer.  This week I have seen children searching for mysterious dragon eggs, and being super heroes!  The new children have all settled very well, especially our youngest children in Robins and Barn Owls who have started school for the first time.

 

Lots of children have been to see me this week to show their work.  As a whole school we are working very hard to promote the idea that we really value the effort they put in, and that we certainly don't expect work to be perfect at the first attempt.  It is the resilience to keep on trying that we really value. I know you will join me in encouraging their continued efforts.
