The Wrens will have a weekly writing task based on our Word of the Day activities. Please see the PowerPoint below.
Maths questions will relate to the learning from the week and encourage the children to use what they have learnt in different ways.
The Wrens are strongly encouraged to read every day at home for a minimum of 20 minutes. Research shows that reading has a huge positive impact on progress and attainment in school. We also strongly encourage parents to read to children all the way through primary school. Wrens love listening to stories.
Additional home learning.
To help consolidate maths skills from this term, new ActiveLearn games have been uploaded onto the children's account. The children enjoy these so they are a great way to support their learning. Pupil videos on these accounts will help the childen (and their parents) understand the processes we have been practising. Please check with me if you are unsure of the login details.
Daily, short (2 minute) timestables and spelling games are easy to achieve and will significantly boost children's confidence in school. These can be done at meal times, when walking to and from school, in the car or any other gap in the day. See the spelling activities document below for ideas.
