Mrs Holderness, Mrs Evans,
Jane, Mrs Whittington
We have had a wonderful start to term 3... our new children have settled superbly and we are now focusing on our topic of 'Colours'. This week we have listened to the story of 'The Rainbow Fish' and have made our very own Rainbow Fish. This story comes with an important message of sharing and friendship, which are things we are great at in Barn Owls!
We have focused on a different colour each day in our morning groups sessions and practising the names of colours at home would support our learning at school. Books we have looked at include 'My Mum and Dad make me laugh', 'The Rainbow Fish' and 'Red Rockets and Rainbow Jelly'. We will also look at colour mixing over the term and how we can use some colours to make other colours.
Please also remember that all children need a spare change of clothes with them every day. We only have a limited change of clothes in Nursery and the weather is very temperamental at the moment!
We have also changed the time when we will put books out as we found it a bit unsettling for the children on a Friday morning... Learning Journeys will now be put out on a Friday at the end of the morning, please do come a few minutes early to have a look at them.
